Center Hosts Children’s Author Jerry Pallotta

New Bedford, MA – The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center is pleased to host a reading and book signing with children’s author Jerry Pallotta during AHA’s Kids Rule on July 13th at 6:00 p.m.  Jerry will read from some of his favorite ocean themed books.

Jerry wrote his first book in 1986 after realizing all the alphabet books he was reading to his children said Z was for Zebra.  He grew up going to Peggotty Beach in Scituate, MA with his large family and loved the ocean so it was the focus of his first alphabet book. It was a hit and this success inspired him to keep writing. He now has over twenty alphabet books, more than 20 math books, the Icky Bug series, a holiday series, a U.S. Military series, the Who Would Win? series, a biography, and a few stories. His goal has always been to write interesting, fact-filled, fun to read, beautifully illustrated color children’s books.  Some of his many titles will be on sale at the Center.
