New Bedford, MA – The New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center and the Community Economic Development Center are pleased to announce the next concert in their performance series. An Evening with Daisy Nell and Captain Stan will take place on Friday, December 1st at 8:00 p.m.
Cape Anne folk legends Daisy Nell and Captain Stan have been making music together for over 20 years. With Daisy on guitar and banjo joined by Captain Stan on harmonica and guitar, they bring alive New England’s maritime history through traditional and contemporary songs of the sea. Their repertoire includes traditional and contemporary folk music and sea chanteys, all of which will have you singing along.
Tickets are $8/members; $10/non-members and are on sale now at the Center or on line at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3178293. The Center is located at 38 Bethel Street and is handicap accessible with free off-street parking. The performance series is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
