This summer, New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center will offer a series of small group walking tours of downtown New Bedford and the working waterfront. These tours will provide guests an opportunity to learn about New Bedford’s history and fishing industry while being outside and socially distanced.
Tours will explore topics including the history of the fishing industry, life in a fishing family, and the ins and outs of a contemporary waterfront. Group size will be limited to 10 guests and a tour guide. Guests are encouraged to wear masks while on tour.
Guests are encouraged to buy tickets ahead of time. Tickets will be available on Brown Paper Tickets.
Tours are $5/person, children under 10 are free, members of the Fishing Heritage Center are free. Dog friendly if dogs are leashed!
Tour begins in the parking lot at the New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center and ends at Pier 3. Plan to meet in the parking lot at least 5 minutes before the start of the tour. Following the tour, guests may return to the Center to tour our exhibits.
